i love Shayne but he truly is genuinely kind to a fault sometimes. I did like him acknowledging the fact that he listens to the eps much later and finds himself disagreeing with the takes / his OWN takes often.

I think the real pitfall of Reddit Stories that I realized is some of the stories are so vague (or potentially AI-generated) that they have no choice but to fill in the gaps themselves with their own biases because they literally cannot get any more information if it isn’t in the post or updates

Jackcepticeye was a breath of fresh air on that couch. He doesn’t have the habit of inventing scenarios to fit his perspective on the stories they’re reading and actively LISTENS! Sometimes the cast forgets key details so easily and it annoys me so much!

Shayne has said in a reaction video before that Amanda is one of the most empathetic and forgiving person he knows and she wants to give everybody the benefit of the doubt or a second chance. So i think that’s what she often does in reddit stories, trying to understand both sides and not seeing everything that black and white.

I love watching Reddit stories and having them on in the background, but I opened the comment section one day and I was appalled with how parasocial everyone was. I saw multiple comments saying “IM disappointed in YOU for YOUR opinion” as if they personally knew the cast members. I understand smosh fosters an environment meant for viewers to feel comfortable speaking up but it’s very often taken too far and it veers into parasocial territory. People completely disregarding cast members for their opinion formed on limited information related by a third party is ridiculous and short minded
