My birthing tank wasn’t invited to my wedding I had gone NC with her and I didn’t go when she passed. She was virtually a stranger she had never met my kids who are adults made a whole lot of empty promises and never show so I just removed her from my life and protected my peace. My kids weren’t even sad she passed bc they didn’t know who she was. Always always protect your peace it’s worth it. I wish I had done it sooner.

Whoever OP is, your story has been incredibly refreshing to see played out. As an eldest daughter who cut off her dad (and whose sister later did the same), it's therapeutic and healing to see others do the same for the sake of keeping their real family happy and healthy. I think it's odd that the solicitor told Janet she was no longer executor of the will. In Ireland you know nothing about someone's will (unless they tell you) until they pass away. Twice my Dad found out after family members had passed away that he was the executor of their wills 😂
