@spilledstitches: Heres all of the items ive been looking at recently that I think would benefit me and my crochet hobby! Ive been crocheting for years now and just havent make the commitment to buying any of these tools yet but if you guys have any of these let me know what you think is an absolute MUST for your projects! . . . #crochet #hobby #handmade #crochettiktok #ideas
Stitch markers aren’t worth it. You’re most likely gonna lose them and you can just use other items to keep track of your stitches. Like a stitch counter, Bobby pins or safety pins.

Winder, ergonomic hooks, and blocking board have been life changing- especially since if want to ever use hand dyed yard you have to cake or ball the hanks before you can use them

i love my stitch markers. bobby-pins got in my way too much. i hate ergo hooks. i just use the cheap metal ones and wrap them w sticky bandage wrap. they feel so much better and the wrap forms to my grip, unlike the ergo hooks

I use my stitch markers to basically hold together something that I am stuffing with polyfil so I can get it even and I like the hooks but I switched to a light up hook and the yarn winder saved my life on the organizing

I have all of those, if you’re going to use hanks you’ll need a swift as well. Yarn falls off the chair way too easily while you’re winding

I love my yarn winder. I got a cheap hand crank one off Amazon. I definitely will invest in a good one when this one breaks.

yarn winder is also amazing for storage. storing cakes takes up less space than skeins

Got a winder 2 weeks ago. Game changer! I love it and is so much easier! I’ve had stitch markers but never used them until I started my 1st blanket makes it so much easier to track the first stitch of the row.

For stitch markers I use colored safety pins! I haven’t used a steamer for yarn yet but GOOD IDEA, gonna do that next. Everything else, I want them too 😂

I just got a blocking board and it definitely makes a difference! I also love my stitch markers for things that you work in continuous rounds like amigurumi. You can get a big pack of stitch markers at Micheal’s that look like safety pins and I think those are easiest!
