@___sanaa.k: as someone that’s very transparent about my journey with money, it’s important to me that i’m equally transparent about what my financial privileges are 💵 1. i went to school on a scholarship, and left with $7000 in student debt, instead of $45000 😮💨 this has given me one less fixed expense to worry about! my advice: apply to all applicable scholarships and bursaries starting from the 12th grade until your last year of university - 86% of scholarships don’t require straight A’s and look at other factors instead. don’t sell yourself short! 2. i live with my parents and while i contribute to the house, i don’t spend nearly what i would if i moved out. i see this as extra time i get to spend with them while setting myself up to be in a better financial position. win-win #PersonalFinance #transparency #moneytok personal finance • transparency • money • privilege
