Or if you are a business owner: you can put your kids on payroll, pay them $7500 per year (or up to $16,100) they don’t have to file a tax return and it’s a tax deduction for you the business owner. Then take this “income” that they don’t have to pay tax on. One stipulation is they have to perform a function for your company like be on marketing materials. You can’t pay them for doing nothing but that way they have income and you can contribute that to their custodial Roth!
