as a paramedic this is a normal reaction. when narcan begins to work and the patient gain conciseness, their mental state is completely altered. people literally act insane. so yes its weird but its normal and he most likely was not aware of what he was doing. this is something you learn in med schools.

Guys! When administering narcan, you must be prepared for violent or uncomfortable behavior once the person regains consciousness. It completely messes with your thought processes. People always come out disoriented, not thinking clearly, and literally act insane. This is not a rare occurrence and is why she was prepared to handle it and did not press charges.

they actually tell u to get away from them after u give them narcan- back away not abandon- because they often get violent upon waking, when giving ppl adrenaline the same happens. trying to kiss her is VERY strange

As an emt, I’m surprised and greatfull his first reaction to coming back alive wasn’t aggression and hostility bc 90% of the time that’s what happens and I’m telling you that medical professional knew exactly what was happening and why. She protected her self and knew what was going on
