They took themselves too seriously. If they had gone for a comedic action show while still diverting from the animations story it would’ve been better. Alternatively they should’ve just animated the comics

The live action is barely funny. It’s only sokka or tough in a few moments. But in the animated series? It’s everyone. It’s the whole series. ESPECIALLY AANG. and the fact aang didn’t laughed when azula tried to be funny was hilarious. But aang was in the live action anyway not funny. The whole show was not funny why made the moment in live action even shittier than the whole show. It kind of got rescued by zuko shouting “I’ve never said that!” Was perfect sibling vibe but that was all. That was literally all the actors did. IMO the actors had a lot of chances to give their own inputs but they just haven’t !!!

Yeah the cast having to answer for writing is wild, sit the writers and producers down and have them justify the choices they made, not the people who were reading the script they wrote

the actors did their best with what they were given to work with. i mean we dont hate the GoT cast for how the final seasons went. for some reason every live action adaptation for A:TLA the writers, show runners etc do not have fundamental understanding of the story or the world.
