Mamdani fulfilling his campaign promises within the first 6 mos of his governorship helped us see there are politicians that CAN and WILL keep their promises to those they WORK FOR who hired them through their votes.

The way we know socialism works because we literally use it in capitalism all the time but no one wants to admit that's what it is. My grocery store is a small chain, we didn't make our goals for five years and the other stores kept us afloat. This year we are passing the goals by a landslide and we're helping the other stores stay open if they don't make the goals. That's socialism dawg.

Exactly! Not Left vs Right. It's definitely top vs bottom. Further, I wouldn't even call the movement more left. I would call it progressive. I think even some moderate Republicans would like what progressives are offering.

Let's not pretend like Mamdani isn't putting the DSA on the map. You couldn't ask for better publicity than a city mayor who can actually implement policies and demonstrate their effectiveness. Getting members in congressional seats will add up, but none would have the influence to actually effect change until then.

Yes and…. Many of us are seeing what Mamdani is accomplishing. I didn’t like Bernie at all in 2016. I’ve warmed up to AOC over the years. I’m completely over the moon for Mamdani and I’m finally at the point where I’m like Yup! That’s what I want, more of that! So I do think there is a Mamdani effect of sorts.
