As the person who made the tweet, I wanna say my tweet was made because people constantly say “it’s so over” or “we are so back” after 1 bad project or 1 good project. People are always so doom and gloom about these kind of things was my main point. People are saying the DCU is over because of Supergirl, and I guarantee those same people will say the DCU is “so back” once Clayface is out (if it is good)

I think the problem is that James Gunn talks too much, he spends more time talking about his plans than he does actually developing a story to build on his universe but he also doesn’t know what he wants to do with the universe bc it’s like what are you trying to build upon and where does this all go, it just feels all over the place especially with James not really focusing on origin stories bc we don’t know who these DC characters are really outside the Justice League and Batman characters, he has to understand that they need reintroduce them to the audience instead of assuming everyone knows them which is their problem bc they don’t know how to properly introduce these superheroes

The casting and movies for Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman should have been the #1 priority. He should have locked down those three movies and castings before even announcing his DCU plan. But nah lets focus on Creature Commandos and Peacemaker.

Eh nah… the one thing manga has on comics is the unity in writing because we don’t have 50+ writers for one character/story. Running the cinematic universe’s like the comics would cause this to be LESS coherent and make LESS sense
