Exactly pretty much and oh my God it’s running 30 FPS at launch who gives a shit it’s not gonna be that devastating because there’s some games even nowadays that still look pretty damn good at FPS and most likely later down the line rockstar is probably gonna add a performance mode in an update because some companies do that sometimes they’ll release the game at 30 FPS at launch and then later down the line release some more fine tune version of the 60 FPS performance mode sometimes companies will release both at lunch so they know it just depends but 30 FPS yes looking at games in higher frames is better in some cases but like you said if people are going to buy GTA six rather right now or later than that down the line, they’re not gonna care because people just wanna play the damn game people who actually enjoy playing games. Do not really care all that much about all the fancy technical stuff and video games I go behind the scenes if the game looks good and runs good that’s all that matters to most people.

FPS is an overhyped performance metric because it’s the easiest for the majority of people to understand. I would bet most people, especially console players, who are complaining about the game not being 60 don’t even have a tv or monitor with a high enough refresh rate to actually see 60fps

30 fps - unplayable (for me) 60 fps - uncomfortable (ok for story games) 80-90 fps - comfortable for story games 144 fps+ - smooth, great for shooters 240 fps+ - butter smooth for esports titles
