@alexander_motovilov: “Chasing Kou” comes from the 2016 Japanese film Drowning Love. Its original title, コウを追いかけて, literally means “chasing Kou” — running after the person you love. You can feel that in the music: the way it keeps rising, restless and aching, never quite settling. It’s become one of those themes pianists everywhere fall in love with and keep coming back to.
