Do we ever truly know anyone? This is what makes it such a great show. The realistic depiction of fractured human memory & perspective, and how we lie to ourselves & others, and therefore we can never really truly know others/ourselves

To be fair, he got small details wrong and hid only the really bad shit like the ripped pages from Claudia's diary. We can't know for certain how wrong or right he is either considering our only other narrator is Lestat and he's even more unreliable and a liar.

To be frank being an unreliable narrator doesn’t necessarily mean he was lying. Did he hide something’s ? Yes. Did he embellish? Yes. But also, he saw the best in those he loved - and was able to translate that so that we the audience could see them as he did. Louis didn’t mention Lestat’s scars because to Louis Lestat is perfect. He’s beautiful and romantic, poetic and charming. We all fell in love with Lestat as told by Louis.
