in Italy, they’re not heavy on sauces or creams it’s supposed to be simple so uu can focus on the fresh flavors. Italian food is not meant for everyone. In America there’s too much sauce, seasoning etc. I was born & raised in Italy and then I moved to New York the food is very different and for different taste palettes. If uu don’t like simple food with little seasoning or ure not used to it ure not going to really like Italian food.

basically, you can get those EVERYWHERE in italy. That is our fast-food. i never lunch with one of those unless its a picnic or you eating in the car.

My memory of European sandwiches is always on the drier side but after a couple weeks of being there, I started to appreciate it. I think in the US we drown out the flavors of the ingredients with sauce
