As an interior design student, this is EXTREMELY disrespectful, and tells me everything I need to know about you. Clearly you know nothing about actual INTERIOR DESIGN, but rather interior decoration. If you think AI is going to replace interior designers, you know NOTHING about the mechanics of being an interior designer. I liked following this journey, but you’re letting your ego get to your head man.

This is disrespectful. Designers live according to their own principles and may feel particular about the design of a space. “Concrete Garden” could be a very powerful design philosophy, but insulting anyone who may disagree is just rude.

I have been an Interior Designer for almost 30 years, got my degree in design and have worked on major hospitality projects all over the world. What you said in this post… is 1,000% accurate. I have said this for years. It is our job to make the client fall in love with their work place, their home, or what ever space is being done. We need to listen and deliver the clients vision in a way that they never dreamed possible. We make their dreams come true. The designers that disagree with this are bound to have a very challenging or limited career.
