mommyplus5 :
I grew up in the middle of a big family with six brothers. There was always noise, competition, and someone to argue with. I often wished I were an only child.
I had to share everything, and then some. Growing up in a large family taught me patience, compromise, and respect, even when we were frustrated with one another.
We did not have much, and life was not always easy. But as we got older and built our own lives, our reunions meant more, our hugs got tighter, and our goodbyes got harder.
In a world full of chaos, we always find our way back to each other. It is a messy, beautiful bond, and I would not trade it for anything.
And now, the child who once dreamed of being an only child has five of her own.
