i do think saimatsu was rushed & felt forced 2 me but i do still ship kaede(hell even rantaro who died even earlier than her) w/ other ppl bc the other ships 4 her r most likely rarepairs & most rarepairs never have any sort of basis in the 1st place & i can give those ships a pass 4 not having anything going on bc they were never meant 2 have anything going & u can do wtv the hell u want in fanon w/ those ships. W/ saimatsu tho, ur clearly meant 2 care abt them & ur clearly meant 2 think of them as this rlly sweet & tragic relationship, theyre clearly meant 2 b a relationship that exists(if that even makes sense) so i cant give them the same pass bc the game is clearly TRYING 2 do smth w/ them & imo, it didnt work that well. I js couldnt view saimatsu like that bc all their interactions 2 me that were meant 2 b cute or romantic felt weirdly artificial & it was js hard 4 me 2 js imagine these 2 as 2 ppl who love eachother bc their relationship wasnt immersive or deep 2 me but the game acted like it was & in the emotional moments of the 1st trial, i couldnt care abt kaede & shuichi being doomed bc i didnt feel like their relationship was genuine enough 4 me 2 care abt them being doomed. & even in the short amount of time they had tg, i still feel like there was ways they couldve developed their relationship better or more. But thats js my own take abt it, idek if any1 is even gonna read this block of text🥀🥀

I agree with the you regarding the other two, but I disagree with the first one. Not saying saimatsu has no basis or it's rushed (kaede died second, obviously their dynamic would be fairly brief) but it's definitely not well written at all, I think the amount of time Shuichi spends thinking about kaede isn't reflective of how much she actually spend time with him and impacted him. Idk I think saying the critique is bad BC you like it is dismissive of very valid arguments
