Cool for light duty but any amount of torque is gonna blow that apart. That's why the crescent wrench was adopted instead of these kinds of designs.

yeah so that works if the bolt is actually loose but if its torqued down to mach 3 Jesus that's not working

as long as those plates, and the bolt, are strong enough to handle the torque, sure... but it dont think youre gonna manage more than 15 lbs of torque

won't work when you apply torque bcuz each piece has a certain amount of flex. that flex adds up and allows for slip
