@japannewsupdate: A 33-year-old Vietnamese man, Tran Van Duc, was arrested on suspicion of breaking into the home of a 90-year-old woman in Yokohama. Since the beginning of 2026, around 150 burglary cases have been reported across Kanagawa Prefecture. In many cases, homes were targeted through unlocked doors and windows, or by burning through window locks with a burner to steal cash and valuables. Police found tools believed to have been used in the crimes and stolen items at Tran’s home. They are investigating his possible involvement in the series of cases.
