Something similar happened to me. Fortunately, unfortunately ALL of our smoke detectors are wired together. If one goes off ALL of them go off. I'm carrying my freaked out 3 yo around the house trying to find a quieter spot. There is no quieter spot. My husband is trying to figure out how to turn it off. Meanwhile my 4 yo is sleeping through all of it. This happened at midnight.

Firefighter here. Several things could cause this. Most common is the battery is dying. Other factors could be the sensor had some kind of dust inside of it, humidity or the alarm itself is reaching end of life. Hope this helps!

They will go off when they need a new battery. My boyfriend is a retired firefighter and he used to do fire inspections and he was on the MINNEAPOLIS FIRE DEPARTMENT for 25 years...

My husband gets so angry with me because I started using earbuds at night to sleep (because he SNORES) and now a train could literally go right by my head and I’d keep on sleeping but let me tell ya, if these earbuds run outta battery in the middle of the night or my “stories” stop playing I’m sitting straight up in the bed like a corpse coming back to life 😳😂😂😂

I have the same fire alarms and they sound like a zombie apocalypse or nuclear disaster is happening. We also had no fire. Also the middle of the night. I was told by a professional it was because of dust build up. So you’re telling me I have alarms to tell me I don’t clean my house well enough🤦🏼♀️so no fire I’m just dirty. 😂

totally off topic from the video, but saw youre going to town square in Vegas!!! i don't live there anymore but that was one of my favorite spots. it's a really nice cozy area with the lights etc at night. I hope you love it!

They're probably electric and just having a freakout. I have electric smoke detectors (by electric I mean no battery) and they just go off randomly. its hell 😅

I’ve had this happen in the middle of the night before too since ours were hardwired. We ended up switching back to battery operated ones because even with replacing the hardwired ones multiple times even with trying different brands… they always malfunctioned at some point. 🙃

The wired in fire alarms go bad. They are supposed to be replaced every 10 years. We actually just dealt with the same thing
