I let it rest on my ring finger. I tried your way but the ends don't meet. I can move my fingers until it does but ... nah, i'll do it my own way. It works fine.

I feel les steady with like the middle and ringfinger between the chopsticks it like i cannot “close” my chopsticks😅 i usually only put my middle finger between and the ring and pinky underneath the lower chopstick moving the ypper with thumb and index

i figured this method out as a kid but it felt like the chopstick equivalent of holding your fork with a balled fist like a toddler. the method where you let the bottom chopstick rest and only move the top one feels more natural to me
