Fun fact, but also has to do with stress in the body. I recently found out your teeth aren't supposed to be touching at resting. I realized I clench my teeth and hold so much stress while doing it. Small changes but I feel a little less stressed now.

Ok so hear me out. Lay on a foam roller, put it lengthwise from your neck to base of spine. Just hang out there for 5 minutes. It’s wonderful.

im currently doing physical therapy because my shoulder hurts enough to cause headaches, apparantly my whole upper body is super stiff/tight. so yesterday we started working with my jaw and my face now feels sooooo damn relaxed. 😭

and if you have hypermobility please do not stretch do targeted pressure point releases or skin rolling and that's not with the roller skill Rollings where you slightly pick up the skin between your thumb and your forth fingers and your roller feels amazing

I have ehlers danlos and audhd and i used to be the most flexible, contortionist child imaginable, but as i got older and the more c-ptsd i developed i just got so tense and locked up so im so excited at the prospect of getting my flexibility back doing fascia release 😭

Same about the trauma stored in the hips. This is why a regular yoga class doesn’t work for me but just sitting on my patio and improvising a stretch session is my viiiiiibe bc it’s whatever I need for that moment
