They’re motivated. They’re excited. They’re getting clutch hitting. They’re probably really tired of hearing about the White Sox. And they’re showing that they can win. Now they’re not dominating. But they are winning. I think they are giving their fans a little bit of false hope. Because now at the deadline, the Cubs are gonna be buying when they should be selling. They don’t have much in their farm system to really go out and acquire some of the aces that are available. And you got Suzuki and HAPP who are free agents at the end of the season along with two other players. You need offensive improvement from your entire infield. The cubs have too many needs and not enough currency to address those needs. Plus by beating Milwaukee this last weekend they’ve kind of given Milwaukee a gift. Because now Milwaukee sees their weakness. And they do have enough currency to go out and address that weakness. They need a bat. And there’s some good bats available. And regardless of them winning right now when it comes to the postseason and a seven game series, I just don’t see them breeding Atlanta, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Milwaukee given what those teams aren’t gonna do before the deadline. They beat Philadelphia before they got their manager situation taken care of. Since then, Philly is hard to beat, but their pitching is kind of off at the moment so I think they’re gonna be picking up one of those aces probably Ryan from Minnesota. Atlanta is going to get Skubel. And the Dodgers will be the Dodgers. They’ll pick up whatever they need because they have one of the deepest farm systems. I even think the White Sox will be pretty active considering that they have a deep farm system and they’re in first place. The cub should be selling at the deadline. Especially Suzuki you could get a lot for your farm system for him and you might actually be able to contend for a World Series in 2028 if you stock up now. I know you guys are really high on PCA but he’s an outfielder. Every team has an outfielder batting 280 with 30 or 40 RBIs. So he’s not that special and not as great as people think that he is.
