i always laid next to my mama, i was considered an emotional support person, so even when they moved her to get treatment they pushed both my mom and i down the hall on the stretcher lol

I love really slyly asking my nurses how their day is going. and then it ultimately turns into getting all the hot goss from the nurse's desk and that is arguably better than any medication I could receive

I was in the ER for 3 days. I sat quietly, chilling, reading a book. I lost the ability to move my legs. I was fine otherwise. The nurse would come in and sit in the chair beside me. Exhale. Then look at me. “You all right?” I would say, “Yes.” Then they would just sit for a couple of minutes in silence. Then say thank you and move on. I would get 1 or 2 every so often for a “break” 😆. It was the best. I became the quiet place 😅

I have never had a blood draw use ultrasound! How did not know this is an option?!? The number of time I get stuck with needles, I have had them have to take it out of my wrist, or even tell me to go away and come back another day cause they have used their allotment of times they can stab me.

Gotten so many infusions the nurses knew I was cool with them just speaking their minds. They loved me because I just did not care and let them do whatever they needed. Easier for them, faster for me
