When a employee says that they’re going to have to have surgery the only people they have to discuss what type of surgery they’re having and why they’re having surgery is HR or their manager and if the person if an employee comes to you since I have to have surgery and I’m having an requested a time off for the surgery months ago cause it has to be scheduled. It’s not because you’re having cosmetic surgery. They could have a medical condition you’re not aware of that has to be corrected and they do not have to tell you why they’re having surgery. The only person that needs to know that is HR.
