WTF Alan Walker & Ava Max ?? Thanks for stealing my Classical Techno style… next time tell your ghost producers to make it sound good at least… @Alan Walker @Ava Max FULL CONTEXT: Today I woke up to a lot of messages about the new Alan Walker & Ava Max release. People were asking me if I had heard it. About a year ago, I created my own techno cover of O Fortuna. The idea came to me on a plane: to merge classical music with techno in a powerful, cinematic way. That project became what I call Classical Techno. I worked on it with M0R3L, AMERO, and MOTi, and released it earlier this year in January, alongside the announcement of this new artistic direction I’ve been building. Since then, I’ve been performing this music live all over the world, including with orchestras like Electro Symphony. Some of these performances went viral, reaching millions of views, and helped bring this vision to life on stage. Recently, I’ve seen a new release using the same classical source material, and to my ears, the similarities go far beyond inspiration from Carl Orff’s original O Fortuna (1936). The overall concept, structure, energy, orchestral-techno fusion, kick, bassline pattern, and drum approach feel extremely close to the version I developed and performed over the past year. I invite everyone to listen to both and compare for themselves. My version is available on Spotify by searching Charles B – O Fortuna. I’m fully aware that the original composition belongs to Carl Orff and is based on earlier medieval texts. But the arrangement, production, and artistic direction of transforming it into a modern techno orchestral piece is my creative work. As independent artists, our ideas and identity are everything. If you support original creative work and independent artists, I’d appreciate your support and for you to share this. This is not the end of Classical Techno. It’s only the beginning. – Charles B
