I love nature, the ocean, and solitude, so I really connected to him and to the house which was like a breathing companion for Piranesi, and I really loved imagining what it looked like and would feel like to be there. And then the reality of where he was I found pretty intriguing as well. I would read a whole book of just being in the house lol the quiet care and love, the sea creatures, the meaning in the quiet and just existing. Anyway that’s why I liked it!

I rated it 5 stars! No ratings are wrong because genuinely people are drawn to different things. I loved the labyrinth world and I really enjoyed the reading experience and magical realism vibe. I wasn’t super blown away by the twist, but I found it really fun. But I’m drawn to slow books anyway 😂 my favorite classic is Little Men which is mostly plotless short stories
