@entrepreneursanctuary: A rat runs through a crowded city, chasing a word printed on every ad he passes: Happiness. 🐀 By the end of the film, he's dead in a trap — baited with one dollar bill. This is "Happiness." A 4-minute animated short by Steve Cutts, released in 2017. It uses rats as a stand-in for humans, trapped in an endless chase for fulfillment through money and stuff. 💰 Every brand in the film has its logo replaced with the word "Happiness." The coffee shop. The credit card. The fast food chain. The phone. 📱 The message is blunt: advertising doesn't sell products. It sells the lie that THIS purchase is the one that finally fixes you. Here's what happens to the rat: 📉 He buys compulsively. Fights through a Black Friday stampede. Drinks to cope. Takes pills when drinking isn't enough. Goes back to a job he hates to afford the next round of purchases. Each cycle gets bigger. Each purchase satisfies him less. By the final scene, he's alone, exhausted, still chasing — and he steps right into a trap baited with money. 🪤 The metaphor isn't subtle. It's not supposed to be. What separates people who escape this cycle isn't the absence of ambition. 🧠 It's the difference between building something with meaning and chasing things that were never designed to satisfy you in the first place. The people who build real wealth and real fulfillment? They're not running on this wheel. They stepped off it. 🔥 Watch it. Then ask yourself which billboards you've been chasing. 👉 @entrepreneursanctuary #SteveCutts #Happiness #Consumerism #Mindset #SelfDevelopment
