baby youre playing a HONKAI game😭 you‘d expect sp‘s, and it‘s way better than getting a 114th new character (cough cough genshin) who will be forgotten soon because there‘s too many characters to keep up with. sp‘s are a good way to further develop characters and i‘m excited to see robin sp specifically in the story as she said she wanted to go astropolois to further investigate the ipc, she‘s just wearing a swimsuit to blend in with everyone else on astropolis, as it‘s a summer holiday resort

"i want a skin for two irrelevant characters that'll be forgotten in a few days" you can literally get jades for free every patch, they give around 100 pulls per patch. this is way better than keeping both robin and aventurine meta irrelevant by giving them skins. mind you if they made it a skin it'll be like 25$ for something useless

I prefer new sp rather than costume . why that? well that because is fair for f2p and p2w player. as you see obtaining costume need to use real life money, while making a new SP of the characters is optional. f2p and p2w can enjoy having summer theme characters and maxing the eidolons and light cone whenever they want and they are meta relevant too. plus this is called strategy of making money, costume doesn't really earn that much because is only a one buy time while having a new SP or characters can gains millions money, so i'd say is a genius strategy and a fair for both players. thank you

i think sps are good for the game. especially after amphoreus, I think taking a year to focus on developing already existing characters and giving them more time to shine is much better than them just being forgotten in the store, especially for characters like Robin and adventuring who have jobs/interests involved in exploring, aventurine is a job, and robin is a singer. I think robins design could've used more frilly parts. but aventurine looks amazing.

I think SP’s are great. Gacha games tend to have way too many characters, so the story either neglects most of their characterization and development or the story will be dragged out to include theirs. However, those designs truly should’ve just been skins.

Reminder that SP’s aren’t always going to be some drastic change in look, or even path. SP’s are only made when the character is having some kind of major developments/relevance in the main story. Say what you want about their designs, but so far every SP has made sense, especially if you’re keeping up with lore, watching Myriad Celestia Trailers, etc. Why pay for a skin for characters that will fall out of relevancy when you can pull the shiny new character (for free) by saving your pulls? I’d argue that this is better than having a skin because it means these characters will be lore AND meta relevant for a time and it gets people excited about them again and gives people a chance to use them immediately instead of having to wait for a potential rerun. Most of all, I’d rather have development and relevance for already existing characters rather than having 1 and done characters like in Genshin
