🚨 Someone has used AI to make a fake video of me promoting weight loss pills. 🚨 I’ve had SO many messages over the last few months asking if these products “really work”, and I am so angry that someone is using my face, voice and even my body to flog weight loss. It’s something I would NEVER promote. I turn down any brands that focus on weight loss or diet industry. I don’t diet and I certainly would never take weight loss pills. So to be absolutely clear: I never said this, I’ve never taken these pills, and I would never promote products telling women they need to shrink themselves. For over a decade I’ve spoken out against the diet industry and the constant pressure on women to shrink themselves, as if being smaller makes us happier, healthier or more lovable. The worst part is that it looks like I’m sitting on the This Morning sofa being interviewed by Ben Shephard. If I didn’t know better, I’d assume it was real too. It’s exploiting the credibility of a show people trust, and the trust I’ve built with you here, to sell something. But it is completely fake. This video is a deepfake scam. I know they’ve targeted Martin Lewis before with money related schemes and it’s happening more and more. Women are already bombarded with messages telling us our bodies are problems that need fixing. And now AI is literally being used to put those messages into women’s mouths without their consent. Someone has taken my face and my voice and turned it into an advert telling women they should lose weight. If you know anything about me, you’ll know that is the exact kind of messaging I’ve spent years fighting against. So please know this. I do not support these products and I would never tell you, or anyone else, that you need to shrink yourself or diet. And if you see this advert please report it. Because how social media platforms are allowing this is disgraceful! It’s scary when you think about it.  And remember: just because something looks real online doesn’t mean it is. And crucially: My body is not a problem that needs fixing. And neither is yours. 💖 #fyp #deepfake
