Put a structure to your talent hits harder. Growing up, I’ve always loved speaking. I presented and spoke in every church programs that concerns children in my church. At some point I started adding accent..(I was not up to 10)😂 Everyone kept saying I’ll be good with speaking.. e.t.c. When I got into university, in my 200l (I was just 17) I started dreaming of speaking on global stages, speaking to young people but didn’t know where to start. I joined public speaking club in my school, hoping to learn there but they kept doing more of debates and competitions which wasn’t resonating with my goals. I want to learn, work on my vocab, fluency, eloquence but they were so heavy on competition. So I left them. In my final year second semester, I decided to look for other means to put a structure or even to reinvigorate my talent.. I started creating contents, coaching people, inculcated people on certain topics, building a community and it’s been 1year now. I haven’t spoken on a global stage yet but I’ve had people invite me to speak on certain topics their audience.
