Years ago, African countries stood with South Africans in the fight against apartheid and supported the freedom struggle with solidarity and sacrifice. Today, foreigners are being attacked, looted, and chased out by the same people who once depended on that support. Tomorrow, when the shops are gone, businesses are closed, and opportunities disappear, who will you blame then? Violence against foreigners will never solve poverty, unemployment, or struggle. A country cannot grow by destroying the people who contribute to its communities and economy.
