I look very intently because I am listening but I'm 'listening' with my eyes. I'm not really hearing what they say, but I'm seeing how they feel. I am watching their body language, their facial expressions and tone of voice.

Man I always accidentally cut people off and it makes me feel so bad but I just can’t help it. The second someone pauses I just think they’re done speaking and end up interjecting right when they start up again😭 This has been a massive problem for me my entire life

All very accurate. I’m autistic and one of my favorite things is to talk about death and grief at the bar. 😭 My Uber drivers also almost always thank me for a good conversation because I be locked in!

I have a hard time being excited about things. When my sister got pregnant I wasn’t sure how to react. On the inside I was happy for her, but I just can’t show it. People might think I don’t care, but I just feel extremely awkward and can’t really find the words without making it sounds fake. I’m very monotone😅🥲

i have a million different speaking styles and texting styles depending on who i’m talking to and sometimes i accidentally slip into accents (for example american accent, i haven’t stepped foot in america my whole entire life) and have to catch myself doing it.
