Someone flagged something odd about Lovable this week. So I looked into it. While the agent is working... it's sometimes thinking in Chinese. Not the output. The output is fine. The internal reasoning. Chinese characters. This is documented behaviour across multiple AI reasoning models. Chinese characters are more token-efficient. Some models just... do it. Because the training points that way. But the real story is the supply chain underneath. Which model is actually running? Which inference provider? Where do the reasoning traces go?
