Watching these incredible animals roaming freely in Mikumi National Park was a reminder that even the familiar can be extraordinary. Sometimes the best moments aren’t the loudest ,they’re the ones that make you pause and appreciate the wild. 1. Plains Zebra (Equus quagga) Recognize it by: broad black stripes, a lighter belly, and a more common zebra pattern. It is the most widespread zebra species in Africa. 2. Grevy’s Zebra (Equus grevyi) Recognize it by: many thin, closely spaced stripes, large round ears, and a white belly. It is the largest zebra species. 3. Mountain Zebra (Equus zebra) Recognize it by: a white belly, narrow stripes, and a different stripe pattern on its neck and body.
