3 good debt because you now have access to a car opening up your options for other jobs if this one falls through and otherwise you are screwed already.

This is going to sound mad but I needed this video today. I’ve been booked in for surgery on Monday and I wanted to organise a friend to travel and stay with me for a few days afterwords but started to worry about the surgery being cancelled. Instead of spiralling we have chosen on the best for me planned for the worst but it was so hard to remember the outcome doesn’t change if I made a good choice x

How schools don't teach this Martin is baffling. Once again your genius will change people's lives. Just sent this to my 14 year old son, I hope he listens and learns. EVERY school needs to play this.

I always say “Do your best research, and make the best decision based on the information available to you at the time”. It is a great way of looking at it.

I spent 20,000 of my adult savings on university and it hurt at the time but it means I don't have the student loans coming after me for the rest of my life

The way I see it is the car is good debt because if the job doesn't work out the car will still open up more opportunities for them

Sounds like what the government want us to do with stocks and shares today. I e Margaret Thatcher encouraged us back in the 80s,

I would be looking at short term car loans that I could afford and then get my own car after the 3 month probationary period

True. “What you knew then is not what you know now” in relation to dealing with the what ifs after making those decisions. Love that explanation for the last situation. The coin analogy was nice.

debt used properly can be great, 0% or very small costs on some larger purchases means my money can work well elsewhere

I love that you did this at my old college. I wish I was still attending, this would've been sooo useful when I was deciding whether to go uni or not
