call me crazy but every time I tighten the screw the head does go down below the surface. anyway, I do have this counter sink Chuck thing for your drilling. it's great! I use on of that kind of CS even though you don't always need it

Most of the top brand screws have nibs( built in cutting-teeth ) and might have one or can have 4 depending on how hard the wood or material is ,one nib for soft pine 3 or 4 for oaks or maple
