You’re right. I remember being younger and just blowing relationships up for no reason (upon reflection) and having the action encouraged and agreed by friends around me too. And when I think back and actually break down some of the situations and reasons, I’ve realised how overly dramatic and illogical some of my thoughts and actions were.

I lived with an ex I felt completely secure with, never argued, he went to sleep spooning me as usual, got up went for a walk while I cooked brunch, came back from the walk and then said he wasn’t happy and was leaving. 🙃

They think they’re above you or that your emotions are a worldly distraction. It makes you feel as though your feelings are a fabrication of your own ego, causes you to devalue yourself and as a result of this you end up thinking that anyone who shows you interest or love is lying. Avoidance can teeter into narcissistic abuse really quick, and it’s contagious.

Omg the worst experience I’ve had with a man. Emotionally avoidant/available. So destructive and mentally abusive. In my opinion it was worst than physical pain. That heartbreak never ever again!

me and friends always say that we need a term to describe an effective acquired asexuality as a response to men not being wholly attractive. So many of my friends have learned to not to be attracted to men because of this type of behaviour. Terms like hetero pessimist don't fully describe what I'm observing and experiencing myself
