@luna_vlab: Day 18 of surviving dynamics ⚙️✍️ Today we’re breaking down one of those classic dynamics problems where a box slides across a rough floor, loses speed because of friction, and then runs into a spring because apparently the problem needed a second phase of suffering 🤔 This is the kind of example that shows why dynamics is not just “plug into an equation.” You have to understand what’s happening physically first: when the box is sliding freely, friction controls the acceleration. When the spring starts compressing, the force changes, so the acceleration changes too 💡 That switch between kinetics and kinematics is where a lot of dynamics problems start getting messy. But once you separate the motion into phases, the whole problem becomes way easier to follow. If you’re taking dynamics, mechanical engineering, physics, or just trying to survive becoming an engineer, this is one of those problems worth understanding slowly 🙏 Like and save this for later, and follow Luna v Lab for more engineering walkthroughs 🔥 #engineeringstudent #engineeringlife #studywithme #edutokcontest #learnontiktokcontest

besides mu times normal force, are there other expressions for the friction force that show up in dynamics?
