Relays generally don't fail unless the component made it fail. It's usually the fan motor itself that's bad, and you'll find the relay is still good, and it works after you replace the fan. Unless it caused the fuse to blow. Then you can replace the fuse, and it works and STILL the relay was not bad. Relays are usually really reliable, they're designed to be that way. Sure, they CAN fail. But it's rare that it's JUST the relay, and that being the only thing that's wrong with the system. Very rarely have I ever found that it was just the relay, and only the relay, that made a component not work. Only like twice in over 20 years. Making it look like this is going to solve all your electrical component problems is whack.
