Absolutely correct. When you have a parent that makes you feel un seen/un heard that can/will manifest in adult interactions where you don’t even give anybody the slightest opportunity to play in your face. The self advocacy goes HARD even at times when it may not be required.

The difference is I felt like Kenya it felt like she was clocked in for a 9-5 like it didn’t feel like she really gaf about the rest of the cast but Jo Ellen is good bc she will read you to all the way down then make you feel you’re her best friend
