Help my baby is going through it. We been giving him the medications that the vet prescribed to us, he’s on day three of IVDD, we hope he’ll survive without the surgery 😔

Please don’t give up! They told us our frenchie wouldn’t be able to walk again and my mom did all the things she could find on the internet and yes she walks a little differently now and had to adjust but now she is swimming, jumping, and running around again!

Don’t give up 🫶🏻 try ketamine shots.. super small dose. Ask your vet. Sorry you are going through this. My baby has had 2 surgeries. Wish I found the ketamine sooner.

fight that fight!!!! this is the most hardest thing I have ever gone through. I took my moms dog max when she passed in June of 23. Last year August we came home to a paralyzed pup. He fortunately was able to have surgery and within 6 weeks he was talking again.. my biggest fear is this can happen again, and again, and I am terrified. I am praying for you and your puppy and hopeful for a full recovery 🙏 ❤️

Just went through this with my boy! They can and do recover with strict crate rest- at least 8 weeks and steroids! The first couple of weeks is the hardest- I found an amazing group on fb with thousands of people who took conservative methods vs surgery! Tuesday my baby was healthy and full functioning legs, Tuesday night she had sudden lost of mobility in her legs and I was so scared, i had never heard of ivdd. The hospital sent me back with meds and told me how to go the medical management route. By thursday night she was completely paralyzed from the waste down and her front legs were losing function as well. She could not urinate or deficate at all, she was panting so hard from pain that her gums turned purple. I took her back to the hospital and the vet told me surgery would not have any good outcome. She was in so much pain the light left her eyes and she couldn’t react when i was speaking even with all the pain meds. Ivdd took my baby in the blink of an eye💔.

What a great momma! Currently going through this myself and it’s so so hard 🥺 I wanted to try the aquatic therapy for him too but I’m not sure when I can start doing it. I don’t want to hurt him more 🥲
