I worked good service for years, and I swear sometimes people would talk to me in a way I wouldn’t talk to another human being on the worst day of my life. Like I used to tell myself people could be having bad days but like. That excuse really started to wear thin.

I work at a grocery store as well, it's baffling to me how so many customers just want someone to target. i can't tell you how many times a customer will come in wanting to fight with somebody for no reason. i don't get how you can treat someone badly and then just go about your day as if nothing happened.

I had two customers once, a father and his son. they seemed like very upset people. But they did not talk. not even to each other, I'm pretty good at reading people. So I instantly thought that they were just wanting me to get them through the line as fast as possible so that they could leave No words were said or anything. And this is saying something because I usually greet all of my customers and have conversations with them. There was just something off about these two. When I was done, they paid and left... after first finding a manager and complaining that I did not talk to them.
