@alimcforever: Understanding AMOC Collapse Utrecht data shows the Atlantic current faces automated collapse between 2037-2064. Once it tips, the salt feedback loop takes over. Stopping the melt won't save it; the crash is automated. #climate #ocean #life #survival #pain
This video is EXTREMELY educational, thank you so much for explaining this

I live in Calgary and it’s been cold from the rain here for a couple of days now, unusually cold June for certain, but it’s normally warmer

You can feel the climate change. I don't remember any summers ever being this deathly hot as a child. However the last few summers have been so hot and winters have been quite harsh too.

Love this analysis, but the “your choices today will affect the outcome in a decade” aspect is inaccurate…the real prevention of this comes down to massive policy changes on a global scale. Only so much the average person can do under western capitalism :(

Not to mention that the cold water as it's being pulled up carries nutrients and minerals which feeds plankton. Plankton feed fish which feeds us. Also Plankton produce more oxygen then trees.

I live in northern Canada (Yukon) and you can really feel and see the climate change this far north. The winters and summers are vastly different than they used to be.

temperatures in Alberta are very unseasonable right now. we've gotten rain this month that breaks precipitation records for whole years. not the best example at this time unfortunately.

As a Canadian, I would be terrified of the prospect of going through our winter without being ready. We have a ROBUST snow clearing system for our roads and highways, and a lifetime of experience driving in the winter. Our heating systems, the codes of our buildings…everything is built around getting through our winters.
