Don't be misled by these. Each car has its recommended oil viscosity. You should find it in the car manual that comes with it

10 W 40 is for old cars. I think 5w 30 for low mileage and 5w 40 for the same and higher compression engines. 20 W 50 is for heavy duty diesel engines like trucks or earth moving machines.
