the punishment actually reminds me of a Junji Ito story with a snail boy 😅 basically a boy slowly turns into a snail and his bully keeps harassing him until the bully is infected with the snail curse and they both become snails and because snails are hermaphroditic they eventually made with each other to create a bunch of eggs of snail human hybrids 😭

Do you know about the Welsh man Ravallian (sp?)? He was supposedly unkind to a witch, who then turned him into some undead/vampire at night, and was also trapped into a tree during the day? I've only heard about it through word of mouth, would love more about this tale! I love ancient Welsh tales!
