@savannahsspoor: The bee does die after stinging. The max dose for bee venom therapy is 30 bees a week (for 2-3 year). For perspective, a healthy queen bee can lay up to 1,500 eggs in a single day during peak season, so the number of bees used in this treatment is very small relative to the size and natural growth of a colony. I source my honey bees from a medicinal beekeeper who specifically raises and cares for healthy colonies.
