When I worked in the OR, I learned that they hated 4th of July and thanksgiving. 4th of July is fireworks, obviously. Thanksgiving was cooking accident. Specifically people cooking slightly frozen turkeys in deep fryers.

One of my mom’s old friends was getting married, and as the wedding was happening, a drunk guy came in with some fireworks, and they went off; one of the fireworks hit. The husband was immediately killed.
