I work for a washer/dryer epair company... Don't use pods, don't use fabric softener, use vinegar and baking soda to clean. always do empty HOT full load wash setting 1x week with just vinegar. Also, leave washer lid open if not in use.

This happened to us and the repair guy said to stop using fabric softner. We now use white vinegar instead. No problems in 4 years

I clean and sanitize my washer and dryer after every single use and teach my kids to the same …..as well clean sanitize around and dry the trim molding…. ALWAYS AFTER EVERY USE COMPLETELY WIPE DRY THE INTERIOR and ALWAYS LEAVE THE DOORS OPEN TO CIRCULATE AND PREVENT MOISTURE BUILD UP TO PREVENT MOLD OR BACTERIA build up….

I use the affresh washer cleaner twice a month on the self cleaning cycle, and only use the appropriate amount of detergent. No beads or fabric softener and I vent my washer after every cycle

I need part 3 because we are dealing with this exact issue right now. I haven't been able to wash clothes for a week! The little "flakes" will not stop. We've done everything short of removing the steel tub from the washer, but we can't afford a new one! HELP!

omg, I'm going to have to do this but i will say since adding borax to our laundry and leaving the lid open after using it, the smells went away. but im curious what mine looks like under as well because Ive never cleaned mine. its been years!!

Also... please don't buy newer machines. 2020 up till now. they are AWFUL. if computer goes out on Samsung, looking at 800-1200 for part. BUY OLDER BASIC MACHINES. NO ALL IN ONE machines and No TOWER machines...
