@cookie.chwan: if you know, you know i’ve liked him since fishmen island (that was my first time seeing him), but of course if i watched one piece from the actual first episode, i would have loved him since i saw him during the baratie. the scenes that really made me love him and understand him, was his second backstory in whole cake island, but then this scene. they adapted it so beautifully. if you’re confused, sanji has been living his entire life up until this point thinking he’s not worthy of being protected, or even with anyone else (family, friendship, romantic) he’s felt restricted to the vinsmoke name, he’s felt useless compared to everyone. even if he was amazing, he didn’t feel like enough. this clip queen is taunting him, saying the only thing he is good at, is being the son of judge vinsmoke. i love this scene so much because shortly after (i didn’t show in this video) the helmet from his childhood breaks, which literally symbolises how he has accepted help, and escaped his past, that’s not who he is anymore. he then sees zeff, his first true support, and then the crew, both being his true family. people that he can be vulnerable around. people may not love sanji, but i love him so much, he’s grown so much as a character, if you’re someone who says they miss pre time skip sanji, you’re not his fan because post time skip is the best version of sanji, this is where he has grown the most as a person. i love him so much he’s such an amazing character. sanji you mean the world to me and so many thank you. his development as a character is truly inspiring. #sanji #sanjixcookie #ilovesanji #onepiece #foryoupage

"How can you like sanji" How can I hate a character so passionate and kind? Sure, the gag about him dying from nosebleeds is irritating, but that doesn't change the character behind it. Sanji wears his heart on his sleeve, he cooks for everybody, enemy or not, and forgives people who've done him wrong. I don't like him because strong, I don't like him because he's a good looking character, I like him from personality wise alone. Because kindness can bring you a long way through life, it's just that this world is already so cruel that now it can only take you so far. I want to believe in the kindness sanji represents.
