He has been battling severe epilepsy, and watching the dog you love suffer through seizures is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. He doesn't understand why this is happening to him. He doesn't understand why some days are so frightening. He still comes to me for comfort, still trusts me completely, and that breaks my heart because all he knows is that I'm his safe place. I've done everything I possibly can. I've borrowed money, sold some of my belongings, and spent everything I could to keep fighting for him, but I'm still falling short of the cost of the surgery he desperately needs. I'm not asking anyone to carry this burden alone.
